In the wake of our Annual Meeting last month, I’m pleased to report that 2015 was a great year for The Main Line Chamber of Commerce.

A year ago, we unveiled the descriptor that differentiates our chamber – Connecting with Business, Leadership Development and Talent. It’s a focus that ties into our Society of Professional Women, Leadership Main Line and our Talent and Education Network, which helps companies create a strong entry-level talent pipeline.

Our leadership role in talent acquisition became clear in October, when the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation chose our group as one of only five chambers nationwide to receive a $75,000 grant to help support our internship consulting services. The chamber is now part of two national learning networks tied to helping companies acquire the talent they need to succeed and grow.

In 2016, events like Network at Noon, Business Card Exchanges and Government Affairs programs are going strong. The Chamber also is recommitting itself to a strong slate of Young Professionals events this year. (see page 11)

SPW is without peer as it connects and inspires women leaders and rising stars with top speakers and programs at events that overflow with enthusiastic attendees.

In its 12th year, Leadership Main Line is at maximum capacity made up of the 25 business leaders listed on page 9.

The Chamber’s five annual Signature Events continue to provide venues in which to celebrate the successes of our members as we bring together all the segments of our membership, including many of the larger companies that strengthen our chamber and our economy.

Thanks to all of our members and sponsors who came out for our 2015 programming. Your support does make a difference to our region and we could not do it without you.
