Job Description:

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:
As Internal Advisor Consultant your primary duties are to drive sales and build relationships with Financial Professionals by introducing Hartford Funds products. The Internal Advisor Consultant must achieve and maintain an expert knowledge of the Hartford Funds product line and the Mutual Fund Industry.

WHAT ARE THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE?
• Partner with Advisor Consultant to develop territory business plan
• Plan and execute active marketing campaigns within your territory
• Act as liaison between home office and Advisor Consultant in the field
• Developing relationships with Financial Professionals through outbound calls, emails and letters to share ideas, provide product information, and offer sales support
• Deliver sales ideas and stories to achieve sales goals
• Provide personalized, web-based hypothetical illustrations
• Ask for referrals and business
• Handling special projects as assigned within the Sales Desk
• Attending various sales meetings and training sessions
• Maintenance of PC based contact management system to track calls and conversations
• Resolve service and other business related issues

Job Requirements:

 

WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS OF THE ROLE?

• Minimum of 1-2 years of sales experience, preferably in Financial Services
• Be flexible with ability to accept, create and manage change
• Ability to work well independently and within a team
• Passion for sales/financial industry
• Individual must be sales focused
• Positive, flexible attitude
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Responsible, conscientious and self-motivated
• Strong PC Skills
• Excellent listening and probing skills
• Display willingness to quickly learn product lines, procedures and workflows
• Bachelors Degree preferred in a business or related field
• NASD Series 7, 63 or 66 licenses required
