Committees
Chamber committees provide a great way for members to help support the work of The Main Line Chamber of Commerce. Committee members are responsible for providing input on the operations of the Chamber and supporting the work of the professional staff. Committee makeup and duties are decided by the Chairman of the Board of Directors and committee Chairman in consultation with professional staff.
Board of Directors:
The Board of Directors is a group of volunteers who oversee The Main Line Chamber of Commerce, help to define its mission and support the professional staff’s efforts to strengthen the economy by extending members’ reach into the community through collaboration, support, education and advocacy.

Executive Committee:
The Executive Committee is made up of Directors who act on behalf of the entire Board of Directors.

Finance Committee:
The Finance Committee oversees the Chamber’s monetary position to ensure sustainability and enforce ethical standards.

Board Development Committee:
The Chamber has adopted a process that determines who should be nominated to join the Board of Directors. Members stand for election every three years and there are term limits. The Board Development Committee oversees this process.

Foundation Board of Directors:
The Main Line Chamber of Commerce is affiliated with a charitable foundation that supports education. The Main Line Chamber Foundation Board of Directors, who are appointed by the Chamber’s Board of Directors, oversee and volunteer on behalf of the Foundation.

Ambassadors Committee:
The Ambassadors Committee is primarily tasked with making connections with and for members, with a particular focus on new members who are learning how to take full advantage of membership.

Government Affairs Committee:
The Government Affairs Committee is made up of executives who have an interest in the Chamber’s government advocacy work on behalf of businesses and the economy. It helps to provide direction and supports the Chamber’s efforts to connect members with elected officials.

Leadership Main Line Steering Committee:
The Leadership Main Line Steering Committee oversees the Chamber’s leadership program.

Main Line Society of Professional Women:
The Main Line Society of Professional Women Advisory Council is made up primarily of sponsors of the Chamber’s SPW program that promotes women’s initiatives. The committee supports the program by constructing the overall vision for the program as well as adding input about individual events.

Young Professionals Committee:
The mission of the Young Professionals Committee is to offer a vertical group the opportunity to build and enhance networking skills through professional socialization and education.
