The Main Line Chamber Foundation awarded $50,000 in scholarships to 33 volunteer firefighters and emergency medical technicians during its annual Celebration of Hometown Heroes on June 8.

The Main Line Chamber of Commerce announced that it is launching a series of evening networking events, titled “An Evening At…” These evening events will take place in unique and interesting places throughout the Main Line region and provide valuable networking opportunities to attendees.

Nearly one hundred-and-fifty business leaders gathered for the Economic Forecast breakfast Thursday, hosted by The Main Line Chamber of Commerce. This year, the Economic Forecast provided business leaders with insight and news they can use from Dr. Patrick Harker, president of The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. Dr. Harker said the Federal Reserve was committed to bringing inflation back down to two percent. He also delivered a noteworthy comment about raising interest rates at a slower pace than last year, likely at 25 basis points. Dr. Harker spoke on low unemployment rate in the Philadelphia metro area—less than four percent. He also expressed optimism, noting signs that inflation is cooling, adding that “the national economy remains relatively healthy overall.”

Over one hundred business leaders gathered for the 15th Annual Gold Leaf Celebration, hosted by The Main Line Chamber of Commerce and its Society of Professional Women. The Gold Leaf Celebration is held each year to honor outstanding women professionals whose work has impacted the Greater Main Line Region. This year’s celebration was held at the Philadelphia Country Club and included remarks from the event’s presenting sponsor, KeyBank.

The Main Line Chamber of Commerce will host the 3rd Annual No Limits Leadership Women in Tech Experience on Friday, October 21, in collaboration with Drexel University’s College of Computing & Informatics along with the University City Science Center. The event provides an exciting opportunity for female tech students from nearly 30 colleges and universities to learn, connect and network with executives and companies across the Greater Philadelphia region. This hybrid event will be held in person at the Quorum, University City Science Center in Philadelphia and virtually through Zoom.

Nearly 200 business leaders attended the Red Carpet Dinner hosted by the Main Line Chamber of Commerce last night. Dr. Neeli Bendapudi, the new president of Penn State University and the first woman and first person of color to lead the institution delivered keynote remarks rooted in her inspiring journey.

An accomplished researcher in gender differences in leadership, Carol Vallone Mitchell Ph.D. has developed over 50 competency models used to assess and develop men and women executives in all industries.

The Main Line Chamber Foundation is hosting its 25^th annual GIANT Main Line 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022.

The event, which features a 5K run and 1.5-mile walk, is the primary fundraiser for The Main Line Emergency Responders Scholarship Program.
