BSD Part-Time Technology Instructor

Position Details

We are seeking motivated, energetic individuals who are passionate about technology and education. The Technology Instructor will be responsible for teaching before and after-school programs to K-8 students where they will learn and build real-world technology projects. The instructor must be a self-learner who is a positive, effective communicator comfortable with computers and public speaking. Prior programming experience is not required but is a plus.

Job Responsibilities

  • Teaching before and after-school technology programs for classes of K-8 students
  • Attending training sessions as needed
  • Preparing before classes
    • Review lesson plans
    • Prepare required materials
    • Review school policies & procedures
    • Arrive early to set up for students
  • Reporting after classes
    • Take attendance
    • Clean up classroom
    • Follow all school policies & procedures

Job Requirements:


Required Qualifications

  • Ability to lead technology classes
  • Ability to communicate effectively with parents, students, and school staff
  • Comfortable with computers & technology
  • Punctual, reliable, adaptable, and resourceful
  • Positive & high energy

Preferred Qualifications

  • HTML/CSS/JavaScript experience
  • Teaching experience in formal and informal environments
  • Experience working with children
