U.S. Chamber shares highlights of bi-partisan coronavirus stimulus bill
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is blogging live on the details of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. The bipartisan bill negotiated in the Senate includes $350 billion in loans for small businesses, delayed payroll tax payments to boost business liquidity and $500 billion in federally backed loans and loan guarantees for midsize ad large businesses.

Pennsylvania begins accepting applications special loan program
The COVID-19 Working Capital Access Program is accepting loan applications for up to $100,000 for Pennsylvania businesses with fewer than 100 employees. Main Line Chamber of Commerce members that apply are advised to inform the Chamber, which may be able to help with the process. Applications must be submitted through a Certified Economic Development Organization, which includes the Montgomery County Commerce Department, the Chester County Economic Development Council and the Delaware County Economic Development Oversight Board.

AT&T supports eLearning through grants and extended service at no cost
Main Line Chamber of Commerce member AT&T is offering wireless data service for school-issued tablets and laptops through May 22, along with creating a $10 million fund to give parents, students and teachers resources to enhance at-home learning. The fund’s first contribution went to Khan Academy, which offers educational practice exercises, instructional videos and a personalized learning dashboard.

Main Line Chamber member Stradley Ronon shares resources
The law firm Stradley Ronon is making special reports available at a COVID-19 Resources page. Content focuses on employment law, commercial real estate and increased attacks by Cybercriminals. The firm also is hosting a webinar on employment issues with the Chamber of Commerce of Southern New Jersey.

Boomi and Evolve IP featured for key roles in helping companies with virtual communications
Chamber member Boomi, a unit of Dell Technologies Inc., is profiled in The Philadelphia Inquirer for its work helping companies update and add communications, data and security systems needed for remote workers. Another Chamber member, Evolve IP, is referenced in a previous story due to the company’s work linking workers and companies through smartphones and laptops.
