Main Line School Night is seeking a Social Media Manager with a proven track record building active and engaged online communities, as well as a background in graphic design, for a unique opportunity to lead social and digital marketing efforts for this iconic, nearly 85 year-old lifelong learning organization. The Social Media Manager will collaborate with the Marketing Director and Programming staff to develop social and digital content to promote MLSN’s large and diverse program comprising over 1,000 classes, events and trips. The Social Media Manager will also provide marketing support for MLSN’s fundraising programs. This is the perfect opportunity for a creative marketing professional who needs flexibility around school or family. The Social Media Manager can work from home but should be available to attend staff meetings on-site at the Creutzburg Center. In addition, the Social Media Manager will need to devote several hours per week at the Creutzburg Center and Lower Merion High School in order to create photographic and video content of MLSN’s classes for social media use.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive follower growth and engagement on MLSN’s social media platforms in order to build awareness and increase registrations for MLSN’s programs.
  • Develop a social media calendar to promote MLSN’s classes, events, trips and fundraising programs.
  • Write copy, create graphics and video and and schedule daily free and paid social media posts on MLSN’s Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts.
  • Monitor MLSN’s social media accounts and respond appropriately to user comments and questions.
  • Manage social media analytics and insights to track performance and continually optimize the effectiveness of social media posts to drive engagement and registrations.
  • Monitor social media trends and make recommendations for new platforms and strategies as appropriate.
  • Provide graphic design support for printed collateral on an as-needed basis.
  • Update MLSN’s website and provide support for MLSN’s email marketing initiatives.

Compensation: $30/hour

Qualifications:

  • Proven success driving brand awareness and growth through social media.
  • Strong writing, graphic design, photography and video skills.
  • Highly collaborative, self-motivated team-player.
  • Software skills: Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Constant Contact, WordPress
  • Experience with Google Analytics and Meta Business Suite
  • Passion for education and lifelong learning
  • 2+ years social media marketing or relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
