Main Line Chamber Highlights Rising and Established Leaders
Seven Awards Announced to Recognize Outstanding Leaders and Businesses
June 22, 2022. Wayne, PA- The Main Line Chamber of Commerce will host A Celebration of Business Leadership on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at The Philadelphia Country Club in Gladwyne, PA. This event brings together the Main Line business community to celebrate and reward outstanding leadership and achievement. The event will also recognize the graduating class of the Chamber's Leadership Main Line (LML) community leadership program. Over the course of six months, LML provides leadership development through a lens of community involvement. Participants hone leadership skills and build a powerful network of leaders, while giving back to the community through nonprofit project work.
The Chamber has announced winners in seven leadership categories:
Large Business of the Year: UGI Corporation, King of Prussia
Medium Business of the Year: Barry Isett & Associates Inc., Lehigh Valley/Delaware Valley
Small Business of the Year: American Tenant Screen (ATS) Inc. and Verify Protect, Newtown Square
Nonprofit of the Year: Philadelphia Youth Network, Philadelphia
Green Business of the Year: Mother Compost, Wynnewood
CFO of the Year: Paul Rovner, The Haverford Trust Co., Radnor
Karl Schauffele Community Service Award: Bob D’Amicantonio & Lou D’Amicantonio, D’Amicantonio Shoes, Wayne
The Presenting Sponsor of the event is TD Bank. The F. Karl Schauffele Community Service Award is sponsored by Main Line Health, the Leadership Main Line sponsor is TRUIST and the sponsor of the Nonprofit Award sponsor is The Foundation for Delaware County.
“Our members nominated these business and community leaders who are being honored at the Celebration of Business Leadership,” said Main Line Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Bernard Dagenais. “They strengthen our region’s economy, provide jobs and improve the quality of life for our residents.”
This year’s Leadership Main Line class project involved studying and making strategic recommendations to the Board of Directors of ElderNet, which provides social services to residents of Lower Merion and Narberth who face financial and physical challenges.
“Companies and nonprofits identify and invest in Leadership Main Line participants, who make time to reflect on, develop and hone their skills as leaders,” Dagenais said. “This year’s class is outstanding.”
