June 22, 2023. Conshohocken, Pa.— 200 business leaders gathered for The Main Line Chamber of Commerce’s Celebration of Business Leadership last Thursday at Hotel West & Main. This year, nine awards were presented to businesses and business leaders at the event.

Great stories, as told through words or phrases, were a major part of The Main Line Chamber of Commerce’s Celebration of Business Leadership. In accepting their awards, the winners shared a word with attendees that lent insight into their motivations that help them—and their business—achieve success.

Words that were shared by winners ranged from motivational, affirmation phrases, and inspirational quotes. Susan Campbell, who was named CEO of the Year for her work at Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Philadelphia Region, shared a quote attributed to Henry Ford: “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t: you’re right.” Winners shared these words and phrases with a sold-out audience.

The companies and individuals honored were:

  • Business of the Year: MassMutual, Greater Philadelphia
  • Small Business of the Year: Advanced Staging Productions
  • Nonprofit of the Year: Mission Kids Child Advocacy Center
  • Growing Business of the Year: Nimbl Consulting LLC
  • Community Impact of the Year: Bethel AME Church of Ardmore
  • Emerging Leader of the Year: Denise Linn, @ M&T Bank
  • Woman Owned Business of the Year: Kim Wright, Nothing Bundt Cakes
  • CEO of the Year: Susan Campbell, Ronald McDonald House Charities - Philadelphia Region
  • F. Karl Schauffele Community Service Award: Robert Simpson, Brinker Simpson & Company, LLC

The Celebration of Business Leadership also included 20 graduating members of the 2023 Leadership Main Line (LML) program. This program was created in 2002 in an effort to develop future community leaders in the region.

The event also featured remarks from Presenting Sponsor TD Bank and Truist, who sponsors the Chamber’s leadership programs.

“We had an outstanding group of graduates for Leadership Main Line this year as companies invest in leaders who successfully engage employees in a tight labor market,” said Main Line Chamber President & CEO Bernard Dagenais. “Our next professional development program for employers begins in the Fall with Leadership Principles & Profiles management training.”

It was the 21st graduating class of the Chamber's premier community leadership program. Over the course of six months, LML provided leadership development through a lens of community involvement for 20 graduates.
